Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity under it.

What OwnerTransfer is — and is not

OwnerTransfer is a matched-exchange facilitator. We help owners find counterparties, communicate, and record an agreement to transfer ownership of assets, and we issue a Transfer Commitment Certificate when both parties agree.

We are not a party to any transfer. We do not own, possess, inspect, value, or guarantee any asset, and we do not provide conveyancing, legal, tax, or financial advice. Each party is responsible for completing the transfer through their own legal process in their own jurisdiction. You should take independent professional advice before committing to a transfer.

Accounts and verification

Before you can list, reveal contact details, or enter an agreement, you must verify your identity. We may decline, suspend, or remove verification where we reasonably believe information is false or where verification fails.

Listings and conduct

You may only list assets you genuinely own or are authorised to transfer, and your listing must be accurate and honest. You agree not to:

• List stolen, encumbered, illegal, or misrepresented assets, or assets you cannot lawfully transfer.
• Upload false ownership evidence or impersonate another person.
• Use the platform to harass, defraud, or circumvent the verified-contact and match-gate protections.
• Post AI-generated or stock imagery in place of genuine photographs of your asset.

We operate moderation and may reject, edit, suspend, or remove any listing, and may suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion where these Terms or the law are breached.

The Transfer Commitment Certificate

When both parties confirm an agreement, we issue a Transfer Commitment Certificate recording the parties, the assets, the agreed terms, and any cash differential. The Certificate is a platform-authenticated record of what was agreed and when; it is intended to support — not replace — the parties’ own legal completion. The commitment to transfer is between the parties; OwnerTransfer is not a guarantor of either party’s performance.

Fees and commission

Fees are shown in the product before you incur them and may change with reasonable notice. Current fees: a per-listing fee (free at launch), a certificate fee charged when a certificate is issued, and a bilateral commission charged on any cash differential between the parties. Where a payment gateway is not yet available for your region, the corresponding fee may be waived. Payments are processed by our payment providers; you authorise the applicable charge when you proceed.

Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant the conduct, identity, solvency, or performance of any counterparty, or the condition, title, or value of any asset. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from a transfer, a counterparty, or an asset, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your listings, or your dealings with other users.

Intellectual property

The platform, its design, and its content (excluding your listing content) are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights in the content you upload and grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to operate the service.

Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these Terms, where required by law, or to protect the platform and its users.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that we may enforce these Terms in any jurisdiction where you are located.

Changes and contact
